One step closer

Today I talked to the director of student finance at my college. I had submitted a request to get an increase on my student loans so I could purchase a laptop. And sure enough, my request was approved. But my loans still needed to go through their approval process before my request will go through.

Now here comes the problem, I had dropped out of college for a term. I did re-enroll but it was just after my student loan's payback deadline started. The upside is the company that gave me my first loans is no longer in business. So I might luck out with my second set of loans being approved. If that happens, my loan increase request will be next and I'll be the happy owner of a brand new laptop.

"I can see the wind."

I sat at the edge of the embankment and watched as the cold winter breeze rolled over the lake’s surface. Viewing the lake as a whole, I could see the wind’s movement as it blew through the air. I will always recall how the currents of air would split apart only to merge back together again. Chilled to the bone, sitting at the lake’s edge,”I can see the wind.

First days of class

Well today was my second day of going back to college, and first for my Programming Concepts class. I had dropped out of college six months ago due to various reasons. So with the start of a new year I thought I would give it another shot. So we'll see how well I do this time around, hopefully I'll keep focused and not let my usual self-destructive tendencies take hold.

Incoming cash flow?

Well tonight I managed to get a domain name and hosting for a year. Gonna use the new site as a means to generate some cash. Its going to be a new adventure for me considering what is involved with doing it. Now I just need to create the landing page and I can start spamming it on the net. If I really get determined I could possibly turn it into a full fledged dating site but that will require a shit load of coding that I do not know how to do at the moment. I'm also still waiting for my account to be checked and authorized so I can start uploading my page. We'll see how it works out.

Wasted time

Yes, its been seven months since I posted to my blog. I've wasted a whole shit load of my time instead of doing what I was suppose to do. I dropped out of college like an idiot, managed to get myself kicked out of a couple places I lived at, and still haven't found a job. To top it all off I never got around to finishing "The Game". I'm still very lost when it comes to talking to women.

But, its a new year and I am going to take another shot at making my life better instead of worse. I've re-enrolled into college and will start classes on Tuesday. Even though it is a small step in the right direction, I still have a lot of work to do till life is better. Next step is to put way more effort into finding work. It sucks but for the moment my best chances lay with McDonalds. I did work for them before six or seven years ago and I did get fired after two weeks. Lets just hope I wasn't put on "no rehire" status or if I was that my file would have since been trashed.

Just another day >_<

Well nothing of real interest has happened today for me. Spent most of the time reading 'The Game' by Neil Strauss. Its been an entertaining read thus far. Its his story on the two years he spent hanging out and traveling around the world with pick up artists and helping other men realize their potential in gainning the attention of women. Which sadly enough, I need much help when it comes to talking to the female species. Hopefully by the end of this book I will feel more comfortable when engaging a woman in general conversation. And who knows, I might just be able to pull in a girlfriend!

A New Beginning

Hey my first post on my new blog! Thats got to mean something right? Well this is going to be my new "home" for my random thoughts on technology and life in general. As you can see I have dubbed myself a "nub hacker", well that is true, I have a dream to be able to claim the title of hacker in its truest form. But I am still in the very early stages of the hacker community. And I still have a long way to go before I can truely call myself a hacker.

Hacker, ha-kər, noun

"A person who enjoys exploring the details of programmable systems and how to stretch their capabilities, as opposed to most users, who prefer to learn only
the minimum necessary."
